What to do in Valle Orco (Gran Paradiso)

The wild heart of Canavese, in Gran Paradiso National Park

Following the Orco stream you enter the wild heart of Canavese: Valle Orco, the Piedmont side of Gran Paradiso National Park. It is a world of high mountains — Lake Ceresole, the Serrù and Agnel alpine lakes, the spectacular panoramic road of Colle del Nivolet at 2,700 metres, the Noasca waterfall — where ibex, chamois and marmots still roam. Far from mass tourism, you climb through the villages of Pont Canavese, Locana, Noasca and Ceresole Reale. Here's what to do depending on who you're travelling with.
